Electronic market eyes good business in festive season

The electronics market in the city is getting a new lease of life after the lockdown. Demand for washing machines, vacuum cleaners and microwaves has doubled. As a result, the electronics market has seen a turnover of around Rs 50 crore in four months. The electronics traders in the city said that half of the business was done through the sale of cleaning products.

In the first phase of Mission Begin Again, the city market started from June 5. Electronics store started on the same date. Since then, the situation has returned to normal due to the increase in the number of consumers in the market. Meanwhile, in the electronic market, consumers have started buying TVs, fridges, washing machines, ovens, laptops, mobiles and other electronics. However, covid has increased the sales of cleaning items. This has led to an increase in the purchase of dish cleaners, vacuum cleaners and washing machines. Similarly, the virus has restricted window shopping, and consumers are only stepping out if they are sure to shop. This is saving the time of the businessmen. Electronics dealer, Abhijeet Bhosale said, "There are thousands of electronics items available in the market in various ranges. The daily turnover is around Rs 40 to 50 lakhs. As Dussehra-Diwali is approaching in the next few days, the companies will be giving festive offers. Therefore, the future of the electronics market will be good."

"October - November is the peak season. So the festival offer has been announced for the customers. Many electronics shops are offering 40-50 per cent discount, one year warranty, easy instalments, zero per cent finance that allows the customer to take any item without paying a single rupee. Surprise gifts will also be given on every purchase" said Bhosale.
