English Schools Association to agitate on Maha Day
Aurangabad, April 27:
Maharashtra English Schools Trustees Association has decided to agitation on May 1 for their different demands, including financial help from Government.
In a memorandum submitted to the education officer (primary) on Tuesday, MESTA president Sanjayrao Tayade Patil stated that English schools have been facing a financial crisis for the past one and half years.
He said that teaching and non-teaching staff members of the schools finding it difficult to have two square of meals in such a situation.
“We want to draw the attention of our problems to the State Government through the agitation and seek some financial assistance from it. We will stage sit-in agitation at Kranti Chowk for one hour on Maharashtra Day. We will follow all COVID norms like wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing,” he said.
