Aurangabad, April 14:

The state government has imposed a curfew till April 30. But export and manufacturing companies were exempted. This has come as a great relief for the industries in Aurangabad as products worth Rs 15,000 crore are exported to the entire country annually. This will also enable us to deliver our products to our overseas customers on time, ”said CMIA president Kamlesh Dhoot.

Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray had announced a curfew from 8 pm on Wednesday. A delegation of CMIA, CII and Massia met district collector Sunil Chavan this afternoon to discuss which industries will continue and which will remain closed. The state government allowed exporting companies and their vendors to continue production. The industries that come under government regulation. Giving more information, Dhoot said that the state government has allowed exporters to continue manufacturing. Bajaj, the largest exporter, will export 1.5 lakh two-wheelers and 20,000 rickshaws in the coming months. Products are also exported from 300 to 400 units in the industrial area. It exports Rs 15,000 crore annually. The challenge for the industry right now is to deliver the goods to the customers on time and to handle and retain the customers. Once the export order gets cancelled, you have to wait a long time to get a new order from that customer as the competition has increased a lot. At present, two to two and a half lakh workers are working directly and indirectly in Aurangabad industrial area. There are about 8 lakh people who depend on them. With all this in mind, the state government has allowed exports and manufacturing units to function. CMIA vice president Shivprasad Jaju, Satish Lonikar, Prasad Kokil, CII Marathwada zonal chairman Raman Azgaonkar and Massia president Abhay Hanchanal were present.
