Aurangabad, Oct 18:

Education Officer (primary) Surajprasad Jaiswal said a proposal was submitted to the deputy director of Education (Aurangabad) recommending action against The Jain International School.

It may be noted the school denied the link of online classes to the students whose parents have not paid feed.Parents staged an agitation few days for asking them to purchase stationery from the school forcefully.Later, members of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena ransacked the office of the principal for this reason.

Meanwhile, parents also made a complaint with Satara Police Station and Education Officer (EO) of Zilla Parishad (ZP). Taking it seriously, a probe through extension officer was conducted done. During the inquiry, it was found that school distributed stationery and also gave its receipt.

“The school Rs 1417 more from each student. The name of the school was printed on the notebook. There was the same price (Rs 4,700) of stationery kit for students from first to 10th standard. The receipt does not have GST number,” it was found in the probe. Through a notice, the school principal and the administration were asked as to why the permission of the school should not be withdrawn in seven days. However, the school did not clarify on time.

The officers from the Education Department of ZP said that the EO submitted a proposal to deputy director of education (Aurangabad region) recommending action against the school as per the Government norms.
