Ex-servicemen to agitate on Kargil Vijay Din
Aurangabad, July 4:
Sainik Federation president Brigadier (retd) Sudhir Sawant threatened to agitate on Kargil Vijay Din if the issues of ex-servicemen were solved.
He is touring different parts of the State to know the problems of ex-servicemen.
Brigadier (retd) Sudhir Sawant met ex-servicemen of the city.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the Government appears apathetic about the recruitment of ex-servicemen.
He said that a tehsil level vigilance committee should be set up for solving the problems of servicemen.
“There is a three to four years delay for the recruitment of ex-servicemen in various sectors. They should be recruitment in police, medical and revenue departments Municipal Corporations and schools,” he asserted.
Brigadier (retd) Sawant said that the problems of ex-servicemen are ignored intentionally.
“Politicians comes to pay tribute to martyred soldiers. False promises are given. Issues of martyrs families are kept pending. Basic problems of ex-servicemen should be solved, otherwise, not a single political leader would be allowed to pay homage to martyrs,” the federation office-bearers added.
Federation vice-president Deepakraje Shirke, Shaikh Rafiq, D M Nimbalkar, Anil Satav, Babasaheb Jadhav, Gajanan Pimple and others were present.
