Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: An alumni meet was organised at the Department of Management Science of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on Tuesday.

Former student and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Walmik Sarwade was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony. Former students Rajesh Javalekar and Abhijit Shelke (director, Department of Management Science) were seated on the dais.

In his introductory speech, Dr Abhijit Shelke made the students emotional by reminiscing about old memories and welcomed them with great enthusiasm. Dr Shweta Patil Rajale was the coordinator of the gathering.

Recounting his memories from his student days, Pro-VC Dr Sarwade said that let's come together every year and relive the memories. “Through alumni experiences, new students would get the opportunity to work in the company and get new employment,” he added. Rajesh Javalekar also spoke.

Finally, he couldn't reject students' requests and sang his favourite song. The first-year MBA students also sang a song on friendship.

The former students became emotional about their old memories and shared their experiences. Ana Khan conducted the progress of the proceedings while Dr Farooq Khan, Dr Yashwant Waykar, Dr R K Priya, Dr Kaveri Lad and others were also present.
