Aurangabad, Jan 30: The main accused of the firing incident at Buddhi Lane in which a youth was injured has not been traced even after two days. The Crime Branch and City Chowk police have launched a severe manhunt for him.
On January 28 night, Akram opened fire on a youth Jabbar at Buddhi Lane area over a quarrel erupted over parking vehicles in a narrow lane and obstructing the way of the residents. The police have arrested a scrap vendor Mehmood Shaikh Ahmed Jamit alias Rajabhai Bhangarwala but the main accused Akram was at large. Jabbar is presently being treated at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The court has remanded Rajabhai in the police custody. Rajabhai has helped Akram to flee away from the scene but he is not co-operating the police in tracing Akram. He is a resident of Jahangir Colony in Harsul area. The Crime Branch and City Chowk police are searching him for the past two days.
