Four injured in two group clash in Wadgaon

In Wadgaon, a violent clash broke out between two groups on Friday afternoon, creating an atmosphere of tension in the area. Four individuals were seriously injured in the incident, and they are currently undergoing treatment in the ICU.

The accused Sachin Pradhan, Ajay Pradhan, Ganesh Somase, and Amol Dalvi went to the house of Kalyan Ambernath Wavhule and called his 22-year-old son, Karan, outside. They abused Karan with casteist remarks and also beat him with an iron rod when he came outside the house. The accused also beat his wife Mangal and daughter Amruta tried to intervene them. Karan sustained severe injuries in his left leg. The above four accused also beat brutally Karan’s friend Nitin Kalyan Sale with an iron rod by pushing him down from the motorcycle. Nitin sustained severe injuries in his right leg. Acting upon the complaints, a case has been registered under the Atrocities Act and other sections at Waluj MIDC police station and further investigation is on by Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanap.

In the complaint lodged by another group Gaurav Dattu Pradhan, the accused Dnyaneshwar Dagadu Sale, Parmeshwar Dagadu Sale, Nitin Kalyan Sale and Karan Kalyan Wavhule along with others made an attack on him with an axe and injured him. Besides, they also beat him with a wooden stick and also abused him.

Gaurav’s friends were also beaten and all of them sustained severe injuries. They are undergoing treatment in an ICU at a private hospital. Acting upon the complaint of Gaurav, Waluj MIDC police station has registered the case and further investigation is on by PSI Kakad.

Tense but calm

The incident led to a tense atmosphere in the Wadgaon Kolhati area. The police have deployed additional forces to maintain control over the situation, and the situation is tense by calm.
