The district planning committee has approved a plan of Rs 365 crore till March 31, 2022. Of this, 33 per cent or Rs 120 crore is for corona prevention measures, Rs 56 crore for health services and Rs 53 crore for other works. Administrative approvals of Rs 20 crore were made last week. These includes oxygen plants and ventilators. Nearly 1,852 people were employed during the first and second wave of covid. They receive an extension every three months. The administration will also have to spend on their salaries. The funds will also have to be spent on the infrastructure till the covid wave recedes.
