Aurangabad, March 23:

District collector Sunil Chavan on Tuesday said that the treatment capacity of the district civil hospital (DCH) should be increased, adequate beds should be made available for the increased number of patients, corona patients should be managed properly and feedback should be taken from the discharged patients.

The collector reviewed the available treatment facilities at the hospital. According to the standard operating procedure, when admitting a patient, he first needs to be medically examined for the severity of symptoms. By sending those with no symptoms as well as those with mild symptoms to the CCC, care should be taken to ensure that beds are available for patients in dire need of treatment in DCH. Updated information about total beds, ICU beds, vacant beds should be decked in the front of the hospital. Patients who recover in a less than expected period should be referred to ESIC and CCC as required. Facilitate talking to relatives through video calls with corona patients, he collector said. District surgeon Dr Sundar Kulkarni, Dr Kamlakar Mudkhedkar, deputy collector Sangeeta Chavan were present.
