Get skill training; earn Rs 9,000 per month
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
Under the Central Government's National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), youth can earn a stipend of up to Rs 9,000 per month. Through this scheme, young individuals are trained as apprentices in various industries, helping them gain practical and valuable knowledge.
Companies in the industrial sector select apprentices via the official NAPS portal. This scheme is an effective step toward empowering youth and strengthening industries. It is a part of the ‘Skill India’ initiative, playing a vital role in boosting skill development across the country. Officials have urged interested candidates to visit the website for more information.
What is NAPS?
NAPS, launched by the Government of India, aims to provide skill-based training to the youth and enhance their employability. The primary objective is to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the youth workforce. By promoting apprenticeships, the scheme allows young people to gain hands-on work experience.
How to Apply
To benefit from this scheme, candidates must register on the official NAPS website. They can then apply for apprenticeships based on their education, skills, and interests.
“In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district alone, 2,817 proposals have been approved over the past year, with grants provided to concerned persons accordingly. Currently, 2,561 students are actively working in various companies under this scheme,” said Abhijit Aalte, District Vocational Education and Training Officer (DVETO).
