GMCH, DCH need 150 ventilators
Aurangabad, April 4:
The severe Covid-19 patients need ventilators. Due
to the increase in the number of patients, the Government Medical College and
Hospital (GMCH) need 100 more ventilators and District Civil Hospital (DCH) 50.
District collector Sunil Chavan has sent proposals for these ventilators to the
Medical Education and Research Director and Hafkine.
The Covid mortality rate is on a rise. Symptoms
other than Covid are also seen in the serious patients and they need to be
administered ventilators. However, the ventilators are falling short for the
serious patients.
Presently, there are 110 ventilators at the GMCH and
25 at DCH and hence there is severe need for 100 and 50 ventilators
respectively there.
Presently, there are 442 patients at the GMCH, of
which there are several serious patients. Similarly, there are 67 serious
patients at DCH and have been administered Remdesvir injections.
