Aurangabad, March 13:
The Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) dean, Dr Kanan Yelikar was reported Corona positive even after taking both the Covid vaccine doses. She is presently being treated at a private hospital, and her condition is said to be stable.
Dr Yelikar was administered the first dose of Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine first dose on January 30, and the second dose was given to her ten days back. On March 11, the Corona symptoms were found in her, and hence she conducted the Corona test and was reported positive on Friday. She was then admitted to the GMCH, but to provide the Oxygen beds to the needy people, and she decided to shift to a private hospital. Dr Yelikar has appealed to the people who had come in her contact to test themselves.
Meanwhile, the second dose is given after 28 days of the first vaccine dose. The antibodies start developing after 14 days of the second dose. The person who had taken both the doses does not have the severe Corona symptoms and hence, the vaccines are beneficial, cleared the GMCH administration.
