Aurangabad, Feb 7:

With no clear majority in the Pishore Gram Panchayat elections, former MLA Harshvardhan Jadhav whose panel won four seats will play an important role in electing Sarpanch. As a result, all the panel leaders went to meet Jadhav.

Four panels went head to head in the Pishore GP elections. The panel of supporters of union minister Raosaheb Danve's daughter Sanjana Jadhav and Adityavardhan Jadhav, who headed the panel in the absence of Harshvardhan, did well in the Pishore elections. Former Sarpanch Pundalik Dahake's Shivshahi panel has the highest number of seven seats. Harshwardhan Jadhav supporter late Raibhanji Jadhav panel won four seats, Sanjana Jadhav's supporter panel has two seats, Rajendra Mokase and former deputy sarpanch Narayan Jadhav's Adarsh panel has three and one independent. As no one got a clear majority, some members of Dahake's panel and four members of Jadhav's group went on a trip. As a result, the group is likely to retain the Sarpanch post reserved for open category women. According to sources, Jadhav may finalise his stand on Monday.
