Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The examination of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) started at 460 centres in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) under tight vigil.

As per the schedule, the HSC examination is being held from February 11 to March 18.

More than 1.85 lakh students from 1408 higher secondary schools and junior colleges registered for the examinations in the five districts of the division.

The flying and sitting squads, which comprise officials and employees from the Revenue, Education Department, Zilla Parishad and the divisional office of MSBSHSE, visited the different centres to prevent malpractice during examinations on the first day today. There was tight police security at the centres located in city areas.

There were long queues of students at big centres where teachers were frisking at the entrance before the commencement of the paper.

The students of the Science, Arts and Commerce streams appeared for the English subject from 11 am to 2 pm today.
