Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Hundreds of teachers working in Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools may become surplus due to new norms of the staffing pattern, that were released on March 15, 2024.

The staffing pattern approval for the academic year 2024-25 will be done as per the new norms.

Also, students will be considered for staffing pattern approval only if the Aadhaar card is valid. Therefore, students whose Aadhaar has not been updated due to technical errors will not be considered for approval. This will result in making hundreds of teachers excess across the State. There is also a discussion about not providing teachers at all in schools which have less than 20 teachers. Due to a lack of teachers, many Z.P. Schools are also at risk of being closed.

The number of students in Zilla Parishad schools is decreasing rapidly. In the meantime, the admission process for the current academic year has begun. Only Aadhaar-valid students will be accepted. This will greatly affect the ZP schools.
