Aurangabad, May 8:

As soon as the Covid-19 report comes, many people get frightened and their health starts deteriorating. But if you are positive, then think positive, said Sandhya Vijayshankar Borde, giving positive energy to many patients in covid care center. Despite being tested positive, it is especially admirable and inspiring to forget your own illness and help others.

Sandhya Borde, 48, working as a deputy engineer in PWD was tested positive on April 26. The symptoms were very mild, hence she got admitted to MIT covid care center. Once there, she realized that there was a lot of fear, misunderstanding, depression, negativity in other patients, and she felt that something should be done for these patients. The doctors there also asked Sandhya if anything could be done to increase the positivity among the patients and Sandhya's work started from the next day.

Sandhya has studied yoga, pranayam, meditation and yogmudra and has been doing counseling for the last 20 years. She started work with great joy, thinking that the 10 days she got was an opportunity to make full use of her knowledge. All covid patients are allowed to go for a walk in the open air at the MIT center after 4 pm. Sandhya used this time to inform people about Yogmudra, Pranayam and also made them do it. Later she also started telling them inspiring and positive stories. Gradually, the patients also developed a positive mindset and this informal class at the covid center turned a hit.

Work must continue

I got discharged and our 10 day class at covid center also ended. Many people in the center have knowledge of yoga, pranayam. They are not aware that their knowledge can be used here. So, I sincerely hope that this work will continue in the future. This is because patients with negativity need positive thinking, said Sandhya Borde.
