Aurangabad, May 21:

The industrial associations in Aurangabad have nurtured the spirit of philanthropy by donating state-of-the-art machinery worth crores of rupees to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to save the lives of corona patients. Now these organizations are ready to help some government as well as private hospitals in Marathwada.

Industries in Aurangabad have been crippled for two years in a row. Many industries have been closed. Even now that the markets are closed, the production in several industries have come to a standstill. Likewise, the death toll of patients infected in the second wave of corona is on the rise. Hence all industrial associations and some large scale industries have so far taken a joint decision to provide 41 high quality ICU ventilators, 3 RNA extractors, 1 lakh RNA extractor kits, 2 RT-PCR machines, 5 oxygen concentrators, 50 beds and 1 oxygen plant, 125 cylinders to GMCH and and 1 gas fire crematorium worth crores of rupees. Now the industrial associations have started preparing to provide such machinery to the government medical college and hospital at Ambajogai in Beed as well as other needy hospitals in Marathwada. For this, a team of ten representatives from CII, CMIA, Massia and some other industries has been formed. The team will provide assistance for treatment to corona patients and machinery at the respective hospitals, said CII Marathwada zonal chairman Raman Ajgaonkar.
