Industrialist Shankar Badve passes away

Aurangabad, May 4: Senior industrialist and chairman of Badve Group of Companies Shankar Prabhakar Badve (82) died at Pune yesterday. He was the father of industrialist Shrikant Badve.

After working in Bajaj Auto Ltd for 37 years, Shankar Badve founded Badve Group of Companies. Under his guidance, the Group expanded in different parts of the country and emerged as a business house with Rs 5,000 crore turnover. He is survived by wife Kumud, sons Shrikant and Sanjay, a daughter and extended family.
