Aurangabad, Jan 18:

The Department of Microbiology Sir Sayyed College organised international e-seminar on Recent Advances in Food Safety’ recently.

Dr Shamama Parveen, the president of the education society, inaugurated the seminar. Principal Dr Shaikh Kabeer Ahmed gave an introduction while Dr Syed Rizwan outlined the aims and objectives of the seminar. Head of the Department of Microbiology Chitra Jain conducted the proceedings

while Dr Vasiullah Pathan proposed the vote of thanks.

President Microbiologist Society Society of India Dr A M Deshmukh delivered the keynote address on microbiology food safety and global health.

Dr Tanzima Yeasmen from Rajshahi University Bangladesh, Bidyut K Baruah from New Delhi and Abdul Kadar Wasesa (director, Laboratory and QC Atyab FoodTech Muscat, Oman) delivered a talk on the role of Food Laboratory to ensure food safety. Dr Sk Mohammad Azhar and others were present. Over 200 participants attended the seminar. Syed Nisar Ahmed and coordinator Dr Syed Rizwan took efforts for the success of the event.
