Jayakwadi’s water level goes up to 27 pc

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The water storage in Jayakwadi dam, the lifeline of Marathwada region, has gone up to 27.48 per cent on Sunday. There is 22 per cent increase in the dam’s storage during the last 11 days. It was 5 per cent around 11 days ago.

There is good rainfall in the catchment areas of the Godavari river basins. So, water was released from the upstream dams of Ahmednagar and Nashik districts. This helped in augmenting the water level in the Jayakwadi dam
