Aurangabad, March 3:
The Jinsi police have arrested four gamblers for gambling at an open space at Girni Ground in Roshan Gate area on Wednesday night. The police have seized gambling articles, cash and mobile phones, all amounting Rs 21,000 from them. The arrested have been identified as Shaikh Gaffar Shaikh Mehboob (55, Kiradpura), Shaikh Wasim Shaikh Qayyum (30, Nehrunagar, Katkat Gate), Naim Khan Yousuf Khan (45, Roshan Gate) and Arbaaz Khan Yakub Khan (22, Babar Colony).
Police said, the police team including PSI Sarvar Shaikh, constables Harun Shaikh, Pramod Patil, Santosh Bamnat and Nandlal Chavan was patrolling in the Roshan Gate area when they received information that some people are gambling illegally at an open space at Girni Ground in Roshan Gate. The police rushed to the spot and found that the gamblers were gambling in the torch light of the mobile phone. The police arrested them and seized gambling articles, cash and mobile phones from them.
