Kulfi seller murdered at Paithan
Aurangabad, May 23:
A kulfi seller was murdered by
hitting a hammer on head by his neighbor over petty reason of parking his
vehicle at Fakirwada area in Paithan city on Sunday morning. The deceased has
been identified as Mayashankar Prajapati (42). The police have arrested the
suspected neighbor.
Prajapati is the native of Jaunpur,
Uttar Pradesh and was staying in Paithan city for the past 20 years. He used to
sell Kulfi in the city. Suspect Karim Shah 935) lives near his house at
Fakirwada. There was dispute between both over parking of his Kulfi vehicle for
the past few days. On Sunday, both of them had a quarrel over this issue. Karim
Shah brought a hammer from the house and hit Prajapati on the head. The
residents rushed him to the Government Hospital at Paithan but he died on the
way while he was being shifted to Aurangabad for treatment.
On the complaint of the wife of the
deceased Sunita, the police have arrested susptect Kareem Shah and a case has
been registered at the Paithan police station. Kareem after the incident fled
away from the scene. PI Kishor Pawar, PSI Ramkrishna Sangade, Chotisingh
Girase, Sudhir Wavhal and others arrested him from Shevgaon Road while he was
trying to flee away. PI Pawar is further investigating the case.
