Light rains in city in next two days

Aurangabad, Jan 6:

The city may witness light to moderate rains on Thursday and Friday, the weather department said on Wednesday. According to the Chikalthana weather forecast, the weather will be cloudy in the city and some parts of the district may report showers in the next 48 hours.

According to officials, a low-pressure belt has been formed from the southern part of central Maharashtra to Karnataka and in the eastern part of the Arabian Sea. Therefore, the weather will remain cloudy and light showers are expected at isolated places in Marathwada. The weather department has also predicted light to moderate rains till Sunday. The weather in the city was cloudy from the last two days. The city also experienced light showers on Monday evening. The daytime temperature was recorded between 28 to 30 degrees Celsius which was 2 degrees Celsius above normal. The minimum temperature, however, rose sharply above average.
