Like Aadhaar, 'ABC-ID' to give new identity to students

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “Every Indian citizen has got a unique identity due to 'Aadhaar' card. Similarly, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC will create an independent and new identity for the students,” opined experts in a workshop organised for the Principal and Heads of Departments on ‘ABC-ID’ at the main auditorium in Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on Saturday.

Director of Examination and Evaluation Board (BoEE) Dr Bharati Gawli and ‘PM-Asha’ Project Coordinator Dr G D Khedkar were present.

Abhishek Dev (State Coordinator, 'Digital India Corporation), Rohit Singh (Chhattisgarh, State Coordinator) and Dr Praveen Yannawar were present as subject matter experts.

Dr Bharati Gawli said the curriculum restructuring, changes in examination and evaluation system as per the Nationla Education Policy (NEP) was effectively implemented in Bamu.

The experts said, “Just as our wealth is determined by the credit in our bank account, our market value. Similarly, in the future, the 'ABC' account of students will be an important identity. Earlier, job calls would come from the employment office, but in the future, job opportunities will be available through the ABC account.” Dr G D Khedkar and Abhishek Dev also spoke.
