Maratha community should get reservation under OBC category

Aurangabad, July 2:

The Maratha Seva Sangh had decided to fight for the inclusion of Maratha community in Other Backward Class (OBC) through Sambhaji Brigade, Jijau Brigade and other parties.

A review meeting of Maratha Seva Sangh, Sambhaji Brigade, Jijau Brigade, Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Rahtriya Shikshak Parishad, Veer Bhagat Singh Vidyarthi Parishad and other parties was held at Jijau Mandir in the presence of the central committee of the Sangh. The meeting was chaired by Limbraj Suryavanshi, state vice president of coordination committee, Dr Ramkishan Pawar, state treasurer Santosh Gajre and organizer Venkatrao Jadhav provided guidance. The role of Maratha reservation was clarified in this meeting. Clarifying their stand about Maratha reservation, the members said that the Maratha community should get reservation under OBC category. It was decided to launch a statewide agitation for the demand. It was also decided in the meeting that the Maratha Seva Sangh and 33 organisations will help to bring the Sambhaji Brigade to power. Discussions were also held on the reorganisation and formation of Maratha Seva Sangh and all the units. The introductory speech was made by district president Dhananjay Patil. The appointment letters for various posts on the district committee were handed over. Swapnil Ghumbare, Deepak Pawar, Duttatray Chhane, Dr Subhash Bagal, adv Vaishali Kadu, Nitin Bhosale, adv Vaishali Dolas, Ramesh Gaikwad and others were present.
