Aurangabad, July 9:

The MP, Imtiaz Jaleel, has instructed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI, Aurangabad Circle) to protect and conserve the heritage monuments and structures in the district.

The MP today visited the ASI office and discussed various development works. He said, " Tens of thousands of domestic and international tourists visit the district to see the world heritage sites and other important monuments in the district. Aurangabad is the Tourism capital of Maharashtra. The city has immense tourism potential which is needed to be explored to the fullest. There are a plethora of monuments like world heritage Ajanta and Ellora Caves, Daulatabad Fort, Bibi ka Maqbara, etc. Accordingly, there is a dire need of protecting and conserving them in a planned manner and technical expertise," stated the press release issued by the MP.

The MP also demanded to provide a parking facility at Daulatabad Fort. He also recommended beautifying and illuminating Bibi ka Maqbara and also suggested conducting a tourism festival to provide employment opportunities at the mausoleum, stated the release.
