Aurangabad, May
26:
The number of
Mucormycosis patients in the district is on the rise. Hence, the worries of the
district administration for the treatment of these patients have increased.
District collector Sunil Chavan directed the concerned officers to make
arrangement for the availability of the injections for these patients and to update
information about the available stock of the injections on the government
website.
He was directing
the officers during a review meeting on Mucormycosis at the district
collectorate on Wednesday. Additional district collector Dr Anant Gavhane, AMC
medical officer Dr Neeta Padalkar, district health officer Dr Ulhas Gandal,
drug inspector Rajgopal Bajaj and others were present.
Chavan said that
the information about the patients should be updated on the www.covid19.nhp.gov.in website
regularly. On the basis of this information, the government will provide
required injections and hence it is important to upgrade it timely. The
required human resources will be made available to the municipal Corporation,
he said.
Dr Padalkar and
Dr Gandal informed about the present situation about the Mucormycosis disease
in the district.
