Narishakti Manch condemns harassment against women in different parts of country

It may be noted that a 19-year-old Dalit girl was gang-raped at Hathras district in UP on September 14. She died on September 29 while undergoing treatment. The Manch members said harassment of women is not taking place at just one place, but, they are reported from various parts of the country.
“The incidents indicate that there is a serious issue of safety and security of women. All should condemn the harassment of women irrespective of their caste, creed and religion than looking from political, social, caste point of view,” they said.
The members demanded to create a system to conduct a detailed probe, trial in fast track court and give the capital punishment to all the accused. “Both the Central and State Governments should make stringent laws to stop such type of incidents and to create a free and safe atmosphere for women.
