Notice issued by the health department to 5 private hospitals in Bajajnagar

Complaints have been lodged with the district collector alleging that Covid-19 patients are being robbed by charging exorbitant fees from the private hospitals in Waluj area. Following the complaint, the health department has issued notices to five private hospitals in Bajajnagar on Wednesday. It is alleged that these hospitals do not have the necessary permission to treat corona patients.

Corona patients are being treated at private hospitals like Jivanjyot Hospital, Mamta Hospital, Ghrishneshwar Hospital, Ashtavinayak Hospital and Lilasan Hospital in Bajajnagar without the permission of the health department. Patients and their relatives have alleged that exorbitant fees are being charged from these private hospitals. MNS district president Dilip Bankar had lodged a complaint with the district collector, ZP chief executive officer and district health officer regarding the looting by a private hospital. At present, the health department has permitted Kamgar Kalyan Bhavan in Bajajnagar, Bajaj Vihar, ICM College, Waluj Hospital in Cidco Waluj and Tirupati Hospital in Pandharpur to treat Covid patients said, District health officer Dr Ulhas Gandal.

Notice to 5 private hospitals
The health department on Tuesday issued notices to five private hospitals in Bajajnagar for treating Covid patients without the permission of the health department. In this, Ashtavinayak Hospital has sought permission from the health department to start Covid hospital, and they have not been given permission yet said Dr Gandal and Dr Sangram Bamne. Corona patients should not be admitted to these private hospitals operating without a license, patients who come for treatment should be advised to be admitted to an approved hospital otherwise administrative action is recommended under the Disaster Management Act, they said.
