Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Now, the admissions to 11th standard will be carried out through an online centralised admission process (CAP) for both city and rural students of the State for the academic year 2025-2026.
It may be noted that the Education Department implemented the centralised admission process for cities like Mumbai, Pune, Amravati, Nagpur and Nashik. The admissions process in other cities of the State was done on the college level in a traditional mode.
The State Government already conducts online CAP rounds for the different undergraduate traditional and professional courses across the State through the State Common Entrance Test Cell.
A Government Resolution (GR) was issued to implement the online CAP for all the junior colleges of all the cities of the State from the new academic year.

Deputy director of education (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar region) Prakash Mukund said that an earlier online admission process was implemented for some cities of the State for the 11th admissions.
He said that the students from a district would be able to take admission to first-year junior colleges in another city on the basis of a merit list. “This will provide State level admission opportunities for students from the city or rural areas equally. There will be transparency in the admission process,” he said.
