Aurangabad, March 1:

One person has died, and two others, who were riding pillion, sustained grave injuries after the motorcycle on which they were travelling skidded on Aurangabad-Solapur national highway, near Adul Shivar, on Sunday night.

The deceased have been identified as Sonu Mahadev Magare (20), while the names of the injured are Ganesh Ashok Magare (20) and Karan Shriram Narwade (23).

Police said, " Sonu and Ganesh (residents of Chikalthana) along with Brijwadi's Karan were heading triple seat on the motorcycle from Razapur to Aurangabad on Sunday night. While they were passing through a bypass road in Adul Shivar, an unidentified vehicle, also driving in the same direction, dodged them. As a result, the rider Sonu lost his balance, and the motorcycle got skidded. The impact of the accident was so severe that Sonu died on the spot, while Ganesh and Karan sustained grave injuries."

Meanwhile, the injured have been shifted to the rural hospital for treatment. Further investigation is on by Pachod police station.
