Aurangabad, July 21:

One person was killed on the spot and another was seriously injured in an accident involving a tempo and two-wheeler. The incident took place near Waghur river bridge on Fardapur-Soygaon road on Wednesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Bilal Nazir Tadvi (Shelud, Jalna). According to information, the two-wheeler (MH-21-N-6959) heading towards Soygaon from Fardapur was hit by a tempo (MH-04-EY-4525) near the Waghur river bridge. Bilal Tadvi, was severely injured and died on the spot. Nikhil Jalika Tadvi was critically injured. Other motorists informed the police. Fardapur police station PI Pratapsingh Bahure arrived at the spot. The injured was sent for treatment and body of the deceased was sent to the Soygaon rural hospital for autopsy. The police have seized the tempo and arrested the driver.

Accident due to potholes

The main road from Fardapur to Soygaon has potholes in various places. Rain water is being accumulated in it due to heavy rains. Therefore, vehicle owners do not anticipate potholes. As a result, the accidents have increased on this road for the last few days.
