Aurangabad, April 5:
The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has stopped the work of issuing
permanent and learning driving licenses till April 30 and the administration
has taken the decision to allow only those persons in the premises who have
taken the Corona vaccines. The residents are questioning that the government
has allowed the vaccination of the people above 45 years of age then what about
the persons below 45 years.
Considering the increased Corona pandemic, the RTO stopped
the tests for permanent and learning licenses from March 11 to April 5 earlier,
and now this tenure has extended till April 30. However, most of the vehicle
owners were not aware of this decision and hence many people went to RTO on
Monday. Only those people who have taken Corona vaccines were allowed to enter
in the office. The entry to the persons who have taken vaccines has been
included in the government’s ‘Brake the Chain’ programme to restrict the spread
of Corona infection. The RTO employees are included in the category of
frontline workers and hence most of them have taken the vaccines. The
guidelines regarding the persons below 45 years will be soon received, said RTO
Sanjay Metrewar.
