Aurangabad, Jan 14:

A group of parents is demanding that the local administration and the State government should give permission to school bus service in the city.

It may be noted that the administration has allowed students of secondary and higher secondary to attending classes by following all COVID measures recently.

The attendance of students has raised to 60 per cent. Among them, highest attendance (80 pc) is of 10 the class students.

Schools administration said that if the bus service is started, students strength would increase. Demand is being made to get permission for school bus service from local administration and the State Government.

During the lockdown period, students attended online classes from June to December 2020 by overcoming technical problems. Now, students of secondary and higher secondary schools were allowed to attend classes actually.

The students, specially girls who go to the school located far away from home, are facing a transportation problem. Parents cannot drop their children to the schools daily, nor all of them can afford to hire an auto-rickshaw.

Teachers feel that if the school bus is started, parents facing a financial crisis will get some relief. Currently, students are called to attend classes on an alternate day.
