Aurangabad, Jan 31:

Many Parents got satisfactory answers of their questions about the selection of Board or school for their children’s admissions in a special webinar jointly organised by Lokmat Times Campus Club (LTCC) and Gurukul Olympiad School (GOS) on Sunday.

Gurukul Olympiad School director and educationist Dr Satish Tambat guided the parents in details.

Dr Tambat said that the New Education Policy (NEP) would streamline the education system.

“Students of 9th and 10th will have freedom to select the career of their choice. The NEP will be implemented after some duration.

However, we have started NEP implementation in Gurukul Olympiad School so that students can select a career they wish. The school developed a special laboratory for this purpose,” he said.

Guiding on the Board selection Dr Tambat said that all the Boards are good, the only thing is that they have different objectives.

“Many a time, parents think about admitting their children in the board school where their neighbours' children go. This doesn't seem right,” he said.

He advised parents to admit their children to IB and ICSE schools if they want to send them abroad in future.

“Parents send their children to IB and ICSE schools just to show others. But, their children experience study stress. Since the State Board has not revised its syllabus with time, it is gradually losing its old grandeur. The competitive examinations gist is based mostly on CBSE syllabus.

Considering all the points, CBSE school is the best for students and parents,” he asserted.

The educationist said Gurukul Olympiad has many features like the overall development of students besides academic, sports ground, expert teachers, bridge course, and clubs made for different sports.

“The school gets prepared students for competitive examinations through experts from Kota and other cities.

The foundation course is compulsory for students studying in the sixth standard and onwards. Because of which, students need not join any foundation and separate coaching for various competitive examinations,” he said.

The admission process has begun in the school. Parents can visit the school for admission from 1 pm to 5 pm daily between Monday and Saturday.
