Aurangabad, Sept 23: Ayurvedic doctor Dr Santosh Nevpurkar and Anagha Nevpurkar have been granted a patent by the patent office of the Government of India. A patient came to Nevpurkar in 1993 with a complaint of no blood production. Based on the treatment given to him and references based on the book Charak Samhita in Ayurveda, he developed an ayurvedic medicine called Majjasneh and used it on many patients. As the treatment showed promising results, a patent was filed in 2013 for the proprietary rights to the medicine. The patent was registered in 2013. It was approved recently. Dr Nevpurkar got valuable support from Dr Anant Dharmadhikari, Dr Ramesh Nanal, Dr Suhas Khardikar and others.
