Aurangabad, Feb 27: Pratik Bhamre won the first prize in the poetry competition organized by MGM College of Journalism and Mass Communication on the occasion of poet Kusumagraj's birth anniversary and Marathi Rajbhasha Day, today. Chetan Hire and Akanksha Raktate bagged the second and third prizes respectively. Jija Shinde and Ramesh Rawalkar judged the competition. Dr Rekha Shelke (Principal, MGM Journalism, and Mass Communication), Dr Visakha Garkhedkar, Dr Asha Deshpande, Dr Tanveer Hundekari, Kavita Soni, and Vivek Rathod were present. Eighteen poets participated in the competition. Bhamre presented a poem commenting on social and political issues, Hire presented ‘Pratibimb’ poem based on the oppression of women and Raktate commented on the social situation of women through her poetry. Judge Dr Shinde presented compositions based on agriculture and soil as well as love while guiding the students. Dr Shelke gave an introductory speech. Divya Kamble anchored the programme and Sudhir Kakde proposed a vote of thanks.
