Aurangabad, July 9:

The Kranti Chowk police have started the investigation of the brawl between the Motiwala family members at Nirala Trade Centre on Thursday night. The police have seized the CCTV footage of the trade centre owned by the accused in the case, Atik Motiwala and Ashfaq Motiwala. Complainant Ashraf Motiwala and accused Atik and Ashfaq Motiwala are cousins, and there is a property dispute between them.

On Thursday, Ashraf and his wife were beaten up at the Nirala Bazar area. They had gone to the Atik’s office at Samarthnagar and demanded that their son should be taken on the board of directors of the educational trust run by the Motiwalas. They had a severe quarrel over the issue. The couple was beaten up in this brawl. A case was registered at the Kranti Chowk police station late at night.

Meanwhile, PI Dr G D Darade informed that the CCTV footage of the spot had been seized and the investigation is going on.The footage will be inspected, and the statements of the witnesses will be registered. As the provision of the punishment is less than seven years in this case, the accused in the case will not be arrested, and the charge sheet will be submitted directly in the court. API Sushma Pawar is further investigating the case.
