Aurangabad, March 1:

The Paithan police busted the Pulsar gang, which created havoc on the Paithan - Aurangabad and robbed several people. The arrested gang members have been identified as Nitin Gulab Ghate (Narala, Paithan and Namdeo Dnyandev Bondre (Varudi, Paithan). The police also seized stolen valuables from them and have launched massive manhunt for the other gang members.

The Pulsar gang created havoc on the Paithan – Aurangabad road and robbed several people. The accused beat a tractor driver Balasaheb Dhembre (Talnewadi, Gevrai, Beed) near Mahanand Milk Storage Centre on Aurangabad – Paithan Road on January 20 and robbed him of cash and mobile phone. The accused also took away his tractor. A case was registered at the Paithan police station.

Under the guidance of SP, Mokshada Patil and trainee IPS officer Gorakh Bhamre, PI Kishor Pawar started investigation and arrested Nitin Gulab Ghate and seized the tractor. Later, his accomplice Namdev Bondre was also arrested with a Pulsar motorcycle without registration number.

Both the accused were produced before the court and the court remanded them in the police custody.

The Pulsar gang robbed traders, petrol pump owner, women and others in the Paithan. They used to rob them of cash and even snatch jewellery of women for the past two years. The residents were in panic due to this gang.
