A pregnant woman from Abrar Colony at Beed By-pass Road area died on Sunday night under suspicious circumstances. The parents and relatives of the woman demanded that a case against her in-laws and refused to take the body of the woman in possession. Hence, the body was lying at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for some time.

The deceased woman has been identified as Kunsum Anisoddin Siddique (27). She was admitted to Kamalnayan Bajaj hospital in unconscious condition on Sunday night. Her relatives from Washim on receiving the information came to the city. They alleged that the in-laws murdered Kunsum by strangulation. They demanded to the police that case should be lodged against the accused at once. Tension prevailed for some time as they hey refused to take the body. PI of the Satara police station, Surendra Malale consoled the relatives and told them that a case will be registered after the post mortem report is received. A case of accidental has been registered at the Satara police station in this regard. Meanwhile, the police have received the post mortem report and the visera of the deceased has been preserved, said PSI, Maroti Dasre.

Meanwhile, the father-in-law of Kunsum is ASI at Waluj MIDC police station. She had quarreled with the in-laws and the case was registered at the women grievances cell and the case was resolved through mediation. Her in-laws mentioned that Kunsum has a son and she was pregnant again. She had fever for the past two days and was taken to the hospital as she was unconscious where the doctors declared her dead.
