Proposal of 57 new colleges rejected
Aurngabad, June 21:
Members of Management Council of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) rejected the proposals of 57 new colleges in a meeting held on Monday.
It may be noted that the State Government sanctioned proposals of 66 colleges within the jurisdiction of Bamu. The MC members rejected the proposals of 57 colleges for not fulfilling the required conditions. The members recommended proposals for five new colleges. One education society requested to grant permission for next year. The remaining four colleges failed to submit the report. Bamu had already granted permission to 12 new colleges. With today’s approval, 15 new colleges will come up within its jurisdiction.
Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole chaired the meeting while Kishor Shitole, Dr Narendra Kale, Rahul Mhaske, Dr Fulchand Salampure, Dr Rajesh Karpe, Sanjay Nimablkar and others were present.
