Aurangabad, July 7:

The PSI and four policemen of the Mukundwadi police station have been transferred to the control room at the police commissionerate for beating a youth at Zenda Chowk in the Mukundwadi area during the Nakabandi.

Nakabandi is imposed daily during 4 pm and 11 pm in the Mukundwadi area. PSI Sandeep Wagh and other policemen were on duty at Zenda Chowk on Sunday. Ramesh Saragdhar Kale, a resident of Rajnagar, Mukundwadi areas, was going from Zenda Chowk.

The police stopped him and beat him with sticks. Kale later complained about it to the senior police officers. DCP Deepak Girhe listened to the complainant and directed ACP Ravindra Salakhe to conduct the inquiry. Meanwhile, Wagh and four policemen were transferred to the control room until the investigation is completed.
