Rahul Desarda bags the best individual oralist award at the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. He received the individual citation for 16th best oralist in the world advanced rounds out of the 591 participating oralists.

The International Law Students Association (ILSA) recently concluded the 2021 world rounds of the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the world’s largest and oldest international moot court competition for law students. The world rounds were held virtually this year. Over six weeks of virtual competition, 574 teams from 90 countries competed in 2,036 matches accounting for more than 3,000 hours of argument. More than 1,100 lawyers, judges, and law professors served on Jessup benches as volunteer judges. Jindal Global Law School, Delhi-NCR finished as the Double-Octa Finalist (top 32) in the world rounds. Rahul received the individual citation for 16th best oralist in the world advanced rounds out of the 591 participating oralists. Moreover, the team comprising Rahul Desarda, Vidush Sinha, Tamanna, Gursehaj Singh and Riddhi Jain team reached the milestone after competing in the asian rounds, world preliminary rounds, world advanced rounds, elimination rounds and finally, the double-octofinals. The team was also adjudged the 6th best overall applicant team and received the Hardy C Dillard award citation for best combined memorials.
