The restaurants in Aurangabad re-started their business from Monday after the state government granted permission recently. Today, the administrator of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), Astik Kumar Pandey, issued an order directing all the restaurant-owners to get themselves checked for Coronavirus Disease, along with their staff, in three days.

The AMC will hold the second phase of antigens test drive for city merchants in the last week of this month. Under the second phase, the traders and people involved in the business of selling milk, vegetables, mutton-chicken, eggs, groceries, bakery products, saloons etc. will have to undergo the tests in the last week of this month, said the administrator adding the shopkeepers should undergo test along with their respective staff.

The AMC had implemented the first phase of antigens test drive for business fraternity in July. It helped in controlling the spread of Covid-19 in the city. Pandey appealed to the businessmen to cooperate with the civic administration again in implementing the second phase successfully.
