Reunion of 1974 Electrical Engg batch held

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A reunion of students who passed the Electrical Engineering from the Government College of Engineering (GCE) of the city in 1974 was held on Saturday with enthusiasm.

The names of alumni of the Electrical Department who were present included Prakash Gangwal, Shivaji Chopde, Nivruti Chinte, Narayan Waghmare, Vijay Shrotre, Satish Joshi, Shanti Kumar Mansabdar, Riyaz Siddiqui, A M Javid Siddiqui, Jagoba Salve, Gajanan Sathe, Arvind Lathi, Mahadev Ugare, Venkat Lakal, Shivraj Malshette, Shashikant Joshi, Subhash Moholkar, Sharad Kulkarni, Prakash Rao and Mohammad Karim.

Office bearers of the alumni association Dr Uttam Kalwane, Suresh Tandale, Kiran Yambal and Principal Dr Sanjay Dambhare also graced the programme.

A self-introduction programme was held for all the ex-students. The office bearers of the alumni association explained its purpose in detail. Principal Dambhare gave detailed information about the engineering college. Former professor of the college Dr Yadnavir Kawade expressed his views during the meet. All ex-students donated Rs 2 lakh to the association’s building fund on behalf of the alumni.
