Speaking at the inauguration, CSMC administrator G Sreekanth said, “ The year 2025 is very important for the citizens of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The much-awaited City Development Plan (DP Plan) has been stalled only for one signature. This signature will be obtained in the coming days, and it will give a boost to the city’s development. The water issue for the citizens has now been permanently resolved. In the coming months, our goal is to provide tap water to every household. Besides, we have issued a Rs 900 crore tender to make the city septic tank-free, and this work is progressing well. An international standard cricket ground is being built at Garware Sports Complex. Furthermore, we are focusing on providing excellent facilities such as an athletic track and football ground at the Divisional Sports Complex.”

Considering the large companies coming to DMIC, the municipal corporation has signed an agreement with MGM to set up a separate golf course, he mentioned.

A grand zoo is being constructed over 135 acres at Mitmita. Soon, animals from Siddharth Garden Zoo will be relocated there. Regarding women’s safety, 5,000 new poles and 16,000 streetlights are being installed in the city, said G Sreekanth.
