In a race against the financial year-end deadline, the District Treasury Office processed 989 bills worth approximately Rs 600 crore on March 31. The workload, expected to conclude by midnight, stretched until 3 am due to the volume of transactions. This year’s clearance rate saw a dip of 25-30% compared to the previous fiscal year. Despite the decline, officials worked tirelessly to ensure fund disbursement across departments.

62,000 bills settled in 2024-25

Throughout the financial year, the treasury office processed around 62,000 bills, covering salaries and departmental payments.
