Rural police arrest motorcycle thief stealing motorcycle from city
Aurangabad, May 27:
The rural police local crime branch arrested a motorcycle
thief who used to steal motorcycles from Aurangabad city and sell it through
his friend in Bhokardan and Sillod areas. The arrested has been identified as
Rameshwar Machindra Taji (31, Bakwalnagar, Waluj). The police have seized three
motorcycles amounting Rs 1.5 lakh from him.
Four months back, the police had arrested Taji’s accomplice
and seized 24 motorcycles from him. He confessed that all these motorcycles
were stolen by Taji. He was at large since then.
The police were after him since then. The police on Thursday
received the information that he was hiding at his home at Bakwalnagar. The
police laid a trap and arrested him. The police action was executed by PI
Bhagwant Phunde, PSI Sandeep Solunke, constable Shrimant Bhalerao, Dhraj
Jadhav, Balu pathrikar, Rahul Pagare and others. The police seized three
motorcycles from him and he told that two of these were stolen from Aurangabad
city and one from Mumbai.
