Schools reopened in city & rural areas
Aurangabad, June 15:
The schools in city and rural areas were reopened on Tuesday after receiving instructions from the Education Department.
Education officer of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Ramnath Thore said that the AMC’s 72 schools and 970 schools run by private managements were reopened today.
“The attendance of teaching and non-teaching staff members was 100 per cent.
The work of disinfecting school premises was carried out. Teachers did the allotted survey work on the first day. The decision of holding actual classes was not taken yet,” he said.
Education officer (Secondary) Dr B B Chavan said that they received instruction from the director of education after the instructions of the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad.
He said that the schools' management were asked to follow the instructions in schools reopening.
The work of collecting old textbooks, the admission process is undergoing. The process of evaluation of 10th and 12th has also begun. The 100 per cent attendance of teachers was made mandatory in the city schools and 50 pc in rural schools.
Headmaster of Ganori School Anil Deshmukh said that the preparations are being for online classes.
Some junior colleges started preparations for online admission of 12th class and appointed coordinators to solve students problems. In addition, the colleges made admission links available on their portals.
